A bright coral lacquered lip’s versatility quotient through the roof and a few miles from there. It can be reinvented, enhanced, restrained and personalized. Since makeup looks that primarily comprise of strikingly bright colours are my go-to choice, I’m going to show you how to rock coral lip look by pairing it with avant-garde yet subtle smokey eyes and a fresh base. Hi, I’m Heli and welcome to make up Basics with Maybelline New York, 2. 0!Today’s look is colourful, creative, classic and contemporary, which means it’s got a little something for everybody! So stay with me, because that includes you! Grooming and filling out your browser the first step to achieving a result that looks sophisticated and produced by practised hands.
They perfectly compliment a good makeup job and go hand in hand. So I’m going to begin by filling in my brows and follow that up by prepping my lids in two quick simple steps. A dab of foundation, followed by a light coat of powder. This perfectly prepped lid will help bring out the hue of the eyeshadow, as the colour will stand out against it, giving you a crisp and clean finish. Before we begin, a quick tip is always essential. Here’s how you to bring out the true colour of your eyeshadow for a more pigmented finish. Just spray some water onto your flat eyeshadow brush before dipping it into the palette. This helps the brush collect more product to pack onto your lid, giving you a supersaturated end result! Just make sure you spray the water from a distance, so as not to soak your brush completely, otherwise, the whole trick backfires and you’re left with a blotchy lid.
Since the focus of this look is on the lips, I’m going to keep the eyes muted by playing around with warm-toned shades of browns, plums and flesh-toned pinks. So, I’m just going to grab a flat eyeshadow brush that’s slightly damp and use this dark warm plum and brown shade from Maybelline New York’s City Mini Brunch Chill Neutrals Eye Shadow palette first define my crease line and keep blending it, until I find that the colour has settled in well. I’m just going to spray a little more water onto my flat brush and then pack on this beautiful shade of pink across my lids. Once all the colours are in place, make sure to blend in any harsh lines, merging the two shades together without ever really mixing them. You can see how highlighting one feature totally alters your look and helps level up the makeup job! Now that I’ve set the mood a fresh colour story of plum and pink, I’m just filling up this gorgeous bronze eyeshadow under my lower lash line over a thick line of brown kohl and blending it all the way to the outer corners. For all the makeup junkies, you know a swipe of liner is almost compulsory.
To top it off with a brown liner or kajal, keeping it minimal towards the inner corners and then pulling it out a tad bit at the end, just like this. I’m going ahead with the brown because I like how this colour brings subtle softness to the look. This colour palette that I’ve used for the eye makeup will ensure the entire look is well balanced and the bright lip will stand out beautifully. Moving onto the part that’s my absolute favourite! A luscious lacquered lip just amplifies even the simplest of looks effortlessly. I’m going ahead with Maybelline New York colour Sensational Creamy Matte Lipstick in the shade Craving Coral. Remember that you’ve got to wrap up this look with a thick coat of mascara, a light base and of course, a dreamy warm-toned coral blush, that’ll add just the right amount of colour to your face and compliment your bright lip without clashing with the lip colour. And there you have it! Another smashing makeup look that’ll amplify your glamour quotient any ensemble that you choose to pair it with!
